Role: Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Location: Ellesmere Port, Vauxhall Contract: Permanent, full-time Salary: OTE up to £52,480 (Uncapped), with a basic salary range of £28,000 to £43,000 depending on qualifications. Included in this are a £3,000 Productivity Bonus and access to the Time Saved Bonus Scheme. Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm), plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:30pm)
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Vehicle Technician to join our Ellesmere Port Vauxhall workshop team.
About the Role: You will work alongside experienced technicians, taking on responsibilities such as:
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Adhering to manufacturer guidelines for checks and vehicle services
- Installing additional customer-requested accessories
- Performing vehicle health checks and identifying any further necessary work
- Examining vehicle components, including lights, tyre pressure, and mechanical/electrical systems
- Completing minor repairs and implementing basic mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Providing mentioned vehicles’ road tests to ensure faults are resolved
- Completing FULL paperwork accurately and professionally

Core Responsibilities:
- Preparation checks on new/used vehicles
- Assessment and adherence to manufacturer-specific checks
- Administration of customer accessory installation requests
- Diagnostics, repairs, and fault identification (mechanical & electrical)
- Proзимаissance vehicle service adherence and compliance
- Warranty repair alignment with brand guidelines
- Road tests for vehicles to guarantee fault resolution
- Administrative tasks, with high attention to detail
Requirements:
Ideal candidates will possess:
✔ Full UK driving licence
✔ NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics (preferred)
✔ Valid work experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (dealer or independent sector experience counts)
✔ Ambition, self-motivation, and drive to consistently maintain high standards
✔ An eagerness to learn and upskill within the automotive sector
Advantageous, but not essential: Previous experience working with specific manufacturer brands (brand-specific training is available)
