Vehicle Technician – Full-Time Permanent Role
Posting Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Half-day on a Saturday Salary: Dependent on experience
About the Role
HiQ Tyres & Autocare, part of the Goodyear group, is seeking a diligent and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team. This permanent role offers full-time hours and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
Your key duties will include ensuring vehicle reliability while upholding DVSA and company standards:
- Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to maintain road worthiness.
- Use dealer-level and generic diagnostic tools for time-efficient diagnostics.
- Execute all maintenance and repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Discuss repairs with customers, quote times and costs accurately.
- Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including company guidelines.
- Complete job cards, maintenance records, and paperwork to a high standard.
- Support the store’s efficiency through additional duties as needed, including:
- Administration tasks.
- Regular stock checks in line with company policy.

Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent experience).
- Full valid UK driver’s licence with no more than 9 penalty points.
- Relevant experience in:
- Conducting interim, full, and major services.
- Specialised repairs (e.g., brakes, suspension, steering components, air conditioning service).
