Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
Location: Various UK locations Salary range: On-target earnings up to £39,200
- Base salary: £32,500
- Uncapped monthly bonus: Average additional earnings of £6,700 per year Hours: 5 days a week Bonus opportunity: Refer a friend scheme – Terms and Conditions Apply

The Role
We’re looking for a skilled and engaged Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a passion for cars and the ability to tackle complex tasks.
As you’ll be in our Autocentre or ServiceCentre performing maintenance, servicing, and repairs, you will already have proven experience in:
- Light vehicle servicing and repair
- Complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements
- Diagnostics (covering areas such as vehicle electrics, brake, steering, and suspension)
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards with our state-of-the-art equipment and tools
- Accurately diagnosing and resolving all fault codes in line with official manufacturer recommendations
- Performing MOT tests and preparing vehicles for safety and service checks
- Transforming original and workshop manuals into simple Step-by-Step guides
- Implementing a structured and efficient service strategy across our locations
- Developing your skills with opportunities for further qualifications such as the ATA and MOT Tester exams
- Working with our team, involved in everything from customer service to repair requests and vehicle diagnostics

Skills And Requirements
Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:
- At least a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Proven experience of 1+ years in a vehicle repair environment demonstrating genuine time served in the trade
- A full driving licence with no more than 9 points
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic checks on electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and engine systems
- Proficiency in correctly diagnosing and resolving fault codes and realising their impact on the vehicle
- Execution of brakes, electrical, and head gasket replacements
- Diagnosing and repairing injectors in air-c unité systems
- Accurately and efficiently reading and interpreting technical manuals
