Location: Various UK locations Salary range: On-target earnings up to £39,200

  • Base salary: £32,500

The Role

We’re looking for a skilled and engaged Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a passion for cars and the ability to tackle complex tasks.

As you’ll be in our Autocentre or ServiceCentre performing maintenance, servicing, and repairs, you will already have proven experience in:

  • Light vehicle servicing and repair
  • Complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements
  • Diagnostics (covering areas such as vehicle electrics, brake, steering, and suspension)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards with our state-of-the-art equipment and tools
  • Accurately diagnosing and resolving all fault codes in line with official manufacturer recommendations
  • Performing MOT tests and preparing vehicles for safety and service checks
  • Transforming original and workshop manuals into simple Step-by-Step guides
  • Implementing a structured and efficient service strategy across our locations
  • Developing your skills with opportunities for further qualifications such as the ATA and MOT Tester exams
  • Working with our team, involved in everything from customer service to repair requests and vehicle diagnostics

Skills And Requirements

Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of 1+ years in a vehicle repair environment demonstrating genuine time served in the trade
  • A full driving licence with no more than 9 points

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performing diagnostic checks on electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and engine systems
  • Proficiency in correctly diagnosing and resolving fault codes and realising their impact on the vehicle
  • Execution of brakes, electrical, and head gasket replacements
  • Diagnosing and repairing injectors in air-c unité systems
  • Accurately and efficiently reading and interpreting technical manuals
