£36,502.00 per annum plus 30 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme

About The Role

In this 12-month Fixed Term Contract as a Vendor Account Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent OTIF performance and driving strict schedule compliance against supply commitments. You will align your activities closely with customer requirements to deliver operational excellence, whilst effectively minimizing costs for both Unipart and our clients.

As Part Of Your Key Responsibilities You’ll

  • Create and maintain delivery schedules using in-house systems (ULS/URS/RWS) to meet business requirements.
  • Develop constructive relationships with key supplier contacts and internal/external partners to manage expectations and provide visibility on status.
  • Work with Operations to resolve inbound/outbound and quality issues, and collaborate with finance to clear invoice discrepancies.
  • Provide prompt status updates and issue resolutions to the client and the Customer Services team.
  • Provide detailed reporting and supply updates on parts or suppliers with constraints or impacting the agreed supply process to the Supplier Manager for client calls.
  • Proactively review varied workloads to identify priorities, ensuring timely deliveries against agreed-upon schedules.

About You

We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!

  • Proven experience in commercial negotiations and cost management, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Ability to manage complex, fast-moving workloads with excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric and quality-focused approach, ensuring delivery to targets and timescales.
  • A proactive team player who embraces change, supports continuous improvement, and thrives under pressure while working on their own initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
