The Vendor Management Team

The Vendor Management function at Worldwide fuels strategic success through:

  • Cross-functional excellence: Driving exceptional outsourced services.
  • Risk mitigation & cost control: Managing risks while maximizing vendor value.
  • Partnership building: Converting transactions into long-term collaborative relationships.

Vendor Management oversees the entire vendor lifecycle from sourcing, onboarding, development, to offboarding, ensuring seamless execution and mutually beneficial partnerships.

What You’ll Do

In this pivotal role, you’ll manage vendor contracts with precision, efficiency, and ambition:

  • Develop virtually flawless vendor contracts—incorporating budgets, scopes of work into templates—earning approvals.
  • Review contracts for inaccuracy, omittances, or ambiguous terms, ensuring technical correctness.
  • Draft proofread and edit correspondence (expertise in MS Word).
  • Manage the contract approval workflow, documenting all authorizations (legal, financial, and management approvals).
  • Track vendor contracts and accompanying documentation for compliance.
  • Document policy, process deviations, or mandate substations.
  • Assist the Director of Contracts in secondary vendor negotiations, refining terms and conditions.
  • Build rapid, proactive relationships—internal/ external responsiveness improves outcomes.
  • Handle confidential, sensitive materials with discretion.
  • Monitor and update departmental and team documentation in SharePoint, maintaining accuracy.
  • Engage in cross-office collaboration, aligning teams between U.S. and international.
  • Lead initiatives as assigned while keeping management updated.

  • Tech adaptive—proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, with aptitude for advanced tools.
  • Data literacy: understanding of contract terms, financial evaluations, and legal ramifications.
  • Redlining expertise—down-to-details experience editing terms for central labs, contracts, service leases, and licensing agreements.
  • **Process improvement_: drafting recommendations (contract procedures, trends, etc.).

Ideal Background

We prefer—and recognize—candidates with industry-specific experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years in CRO vendor contract administration, management, or distribution.
  • 2+ years assisting or directly negotiating vendor contracts.
  • Secondary degrees—Bachelor’s, or higher—in business administration, law, or related studies.

Professional Experience

  • An CSO Perspective: Conflict reduction.
  • Elevated judgement: Experiential problem-solving (years).
  • Contract complexity: Proven track record in navigating negotiation stages.
