JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant

LOCATION: Biggleswade

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 40 hours over 5 days (Monday - Friday)

PAY RATE: £12.90 per hour

Role Overview And Purpose

We have an amazing opportunity to join our Apricot family in our Warehouse!

The Warehouse is a generalist role within our Biggleswade warehouse, this role is at the heart of the operational journey. The door to floor process is integral including processing, packing and collection of goods that ensure a timely service for our customers and retail/ online partners. Our warehouse assistants need to be team player’s, dependable, knowledgeable and proactive.

What We Desire From Our Team

  • Picking stock according to hand scanners/paper picking lists.
  • Packing, and dispatching of customer’s orders.
  • Operating pallet trucks and warehouse tools.
  • Processing customers’ returns including folding garments.
  • Labelling.
  • Maintaining stock accuracy.
  • Reporting any discrepancies.
  • Use of basic IT Software.
  • Receiving & processing incoming deliveries.
  • Move and stack stock within warehouse.
  • Perform general warehouse duties to ensure its smooth operation.

  • Understanding of H&S rules.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the self-motivation to work under pressure.

  • You enjoy working in a team environment and are able to work independently.
  • You communicate and work well with others and have a hands-on attitude.
  • You are open to learning and training in new processes.

Key Relationships

  • Background Experience within a warehouse preferred.

Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Assistants & Team Leaders as 1st point contact

  • Partnership with peers.
  • Adhoc 3rd party.
