Venture Analyst – Cambridge Future Tech

Cambridge Future Tech (CFT) is a technology-first venture builder that commercialises cutting-edge technologies from top-tier UK universities and corporate research departments. Specialising in DeepTech with global market applications, we support ventures spanning semiconductors, robotics, advanced materials, and synthetic biology.

Founded in 2020, CFT has funded dozens of job creations, secured multiple patents, and raised millions in capital. We are now hiring a Venture Analyst to join our core operational team, playing a pivotal role in accelerating new ventures from idea to commercially scalable companies.

About the Role

We seek a versatile Venture Analyst to support day-to-day operations, venture selection, and technology commercialisation. You’ll drive key strategic decisions, conduct due diligence, and foster partnerships with stakeholders across the ecosystem—including academics, investors, and corporate collaborators.

Your responsibilities will span:

  • Venture building (guiding emerging companies through early-stage development)
  • Opportunity scouting (identifying promising technologies and partnerships)
  • Commercial consulting (delivering project-based support for corporate clients)

This role requires resilience under pressure, adaptive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple dynamic projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

1. Venture Building & Support

  • Work closely with portfolio venture founders to refine strategies, commercialise technology, and scale operations.
  • Leverage CFT’s existing networks and resources to accelerate venture growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
