Venue AV Technician

Venue AV Technician Living Events Team

We’re seeking a motivated Venue AV Technician to join our live events team, supporting high-quality AV delivery across conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies, galas, product launches, and sporting events in a fast-paced venue environment.

About the Role An opportunity to build a long-term career in live event production. You’ll receive hands-on training on professional AV equipment before progressing to onsite event delivery, working alongside experienced technicians on increasingly complex productions.Ideal for those who are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy learning new skills, and flourish in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

Event Delivery

  • Assist with installation, testing, and operation of AV equipment for live events (conferences, exhibitions, galas etc.)
  • Support technical teams during event build, live operations, and de-rigs
  • Prepare equipment for events, testing systems to ensure readiness
  • Help deliver events with high technical standards, prioritising safety and efficiency

Equipment Management

  • Assist with maintenance, organisation, and inventory management of venue-based AV assets
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections, reporting faults or maintenance needs
  • Ensure storage areas remain clean, organised, and operational

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to develop their career in live events.

Skills & Experience

  • Interest in professional AV technology with some practical experience (e.g., live events, technical environments)
  • Willingness to develop expertise across audio, video, lighting, and event production systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with workplace software
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail

Working Hours Hours are flexible due to live event demands:

  • Primarily weekdays but may include evenings and weekends as needed
  • Role is not office-hour bound—availability must adapt to event schedules
