Venue Services Network Associate

Senior Network Operations Analyst (Venue Services) – Global Capital Markets

Purpose of the Role

Pico is seeking to hire a critical team member to join our Venue Services team. This function sits at the heart of commercial and technical responsibilities, supporting hundreds of exchanges & trading venues across our global network. This high-impact role requires expertise in networking and automation to ensure millions of data points are accurately delivered to engineering teams.


Key Responsibilities

Global Exchange & Venue Relationship Management

  • Manage technical relationships with global exchanges and trading venues, understanding their operational demands at a network level.
  • Translate network connectivity requirements into Pico’s internal standard to drive automated infrastructure deployments.

Commercial & Technical Alignment

  • Collaborate with venue services commercial and licensing teams to ensure network configurations and Access Control Lists (ACLs) align with client data entitlements.
  • Evaluate environmental changes driven by exchanges and assess technical impact on Pico-supported services and clients.

Proactive Service Improvement & Automation

  • Work closely with the network automation team to enforce data integrity standards and eliminate manual processes.
  • Drive improvements in automation, including data collection, validation, and error handling, to ensure accuracy and scalability.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree-level education in a network-related discipline (e.g., engineering, CS, IT).
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a network profession, ideally within capital markets, finance, or high-frequency trading.
  • Proficiency in Python and bash scripting, with advanced Excel knowledge.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Agility in multi-tasking, balancing commercial, technical, and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Hyper-attention to detail—critical for data-heavy network environments.

Working Arrangements

Post-COVID, Pico adopts a flexible hybrid model, blending in-office and remote work alongside manager approval. While occasional travel may be required for strategic engagements, regular business trips are not expected.

Internationally distributed teams necessitate cross-timezone collaboration, with personalised schedules to accommodate working hours in America, Europe, and Asia.
