We are currently recruiting for a Verification Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project, programme, or engineering professional to support the development, testing, and verification of new cockpit systems and components.

Working within a fast-paced programme environment, you will coordinate test and development activities, manage programme tracking systems, liaise with suppliers and engineering teams, and ensure all activities progress through to successful sign-off while meeting required engineering standards and quality targets.

  • Rate: £28.42 per hour
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, testing, and verification of new cockpit systems and commodities.
  • Ensure engineering standards and requirements are met throughout design maturation.
  • Set up and manage test and development plans across multiple cockpit programmes.
  • Manage programme tracking activities through RMDV and associated systems, cascading targets to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against detailed test timing plans.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for test parts.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and test houses and work with approval teams to secure funding authorisation.
  • Prepare parts for testing, review and evaluate results, identify issues, and support resolution activities.
  • Produce technical reports and maintain accurate programme records.
  • Liaise with supplier teams and internal stakeholders to ensure programme delivery milestones are achieved.
  • Support programme communications and provide regular updates to the Cockpit Module Leader.
  • Maintain all module documentation, including meeting minutes and action logs.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience resolving business, technical, and process-related issues within a project or programme environment.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Good understanding of Design Verification (DV) processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and test procedures.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver against challenging deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience within engineering, automotive, product development, or programme planning environments.
  • Knowledge of product creation and delivery processes.
