Role: Verisk SME Location: London, UK (3 days onsite)
Contract Type
The Verisk Application SME will serve as the primary functional and technical expert for Verisk-based solutions, supporting business operations, incident resolution, enhancements, and stakeholder engagement. The role ensures stable operations, effective integrations, and optimal utilization of Verisk products within the insurance ecosystem.
AApplication & Business Support
- Act as the SME for Verisk applications/products, providing deep domain and functional expertise.
- Support BAU operations, incidents, service requests, and problem management related to Verisk platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Ensure SLA adherence and proactive risk identification.

Functional & Technical Expertise
- Understand Verisk data models, workflows, APIs, rating, underwriting, and enrichment services.
- Support integrations between Verisk and core insurance systems (policy, claims, billing, portals, data platforms).
- Validate data feeds, transformations, and outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with upgrades, version changes, and regression testing coordination.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact with Verisk for product clarifications, defects, and roadmap discussions.
- Work closely with business users, BAs, developers, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Translate business requirements into system-level impacts and solution recommendations.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in insurance IT/application support, with strong hands-on Verisk experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Verisk products (e.g., data enrichment, risk assessment, underwriting, rating, analytics – as applicable).
- Strong understanding of the P&C insurance domain.
- Experience with application support, incident/problem/change management.
- Ability to analyze logs, data flows, and integration issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have
- Experience with APIs, batch integrations, messaging, and data platforms.
- Familiarity with incident monitoring tools and ITSM frameworks (ITIL).
- Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience working with global stakeholders (US/UK insurance operations).
