Job Description
Vertex Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 month contract
Outside IR35
The Role
We are seeking a Vertex Specialist to act as the client side representative on a major global finance transformation. You will bridge the gap between business tax requirements and a Tier-1 Systems Integrator (SI), ensuring the solution is robust and identifying any delivery gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements: Lead workshops to gather and document functional requirements for the Vertex implementation.
- SI Governance: Review and actively challenge the SI's proposed designs to protect client interests.
- Testing: Translate business processes into test scenarios and drive UAT/end-to-end validation.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal Tax, Finance, and Enterprise Systems teams.

Experience Required
- Vertex Implementation (Essential): Hands-on experience implementing Vertex (O Series / Indirect Tax) in a large corporate environment.
- BA / Functional Background: Strong documentation, process mapping, and UAT design skills.
- ERP Programme Exposure: Experience working on large-scale enterprise ERP rollouts.
- Confidence to Challenge: Proven ability to manage and challenge Tier-1 external consultancies.
- Nice to have: Strong foundational knowledge of Indirect Tax / VAT.
