We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.
Job Description
Make your mark as Vessel Manager (Dive) for Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen and be the focal point for all aspects of vessel operations. As Vessel Manager, you work closely together with both the vessel, on Marine and Dive maintenance, as well as our Operations department. You ensure proactive supplier management, cost control, and deliver the operation of the vessel in line with approved budgets.
Your Responsibilities as a Vessel Manager:
- Supervision of the technical operation of the Fleet as established by/with the Head of Assets.
- Supervision on the technical operation of dive systems on board the assets.
- Coordinate with the various departments to ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and management system requirements.
- Coordination of repair and maintenance periods, dry docking, and special projects.
- Maintain a high-quality working environment on board.
- Alongside the Head of Assets, ensure the quality of staff and crew, with supervision, development, and coaching.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders within the business unit.
- Oversee the preparation and management of vessel/project budgets.
- Monitor and approve all budgeted vessel expenditures.
- Monitor budget and input to monthly reporting on expenditure and forecasting with the vessel finance team.

Qualifications
You can make your mark as a Vessel Manager if you have:
- Experience on board offshore vessels, DP2 on Dive vessels, or equivalent shore-based experience.
- A high-level understanding of DP, Dive, Marine Operations, and Class/Flag requirements.
- Competent Microsoft Office user.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work using your own initiative.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to build effective working relationships.

- Your team: You will join an existing team of Fleet management professionals. Working as part of the Assets division, you will report directly to the Head of Assets.
- Where you will work: Your location will be our office in Aberdeen. We offer a hybrid working policy.
- Full/part-time job: The position of Vessel Manager is full-time, 35 hours per week.
