An Opportunity for a Full Time Veterinary Surgeon

A full-time Veterinary Surgeon opportunity has arisen to join our close-knit, friendly team at Preston Vets for Pets, offering a salary up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE).

About the Role

  • You will join a close-knit team with minimal staff turnover.
  • This role is ideally for 30 hours per week, with rotas considered based on individual commitments.
  • The role may involve sole charge, suitable for someone confident in both surgery and consults.
  • We support all colleagues' development and are particularly interested in candidates with experience in dentistry, dermatology, or ultrasonography.
  • This role includes 1 in 3 Saturdays.
  • Enhanced holidays after 2 years with us.
  • Fantastic salary up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE).

About Us

Our team enjoys the working environment, as seen on the Google tour we share. The practice is situated on Preston Docks, offering local amenities.

Preston is an excellent location with affordable housing, easy access to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and large cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

As a training practice, you will work alongside a Practice Owner/Head Nurse, Practice Manager, 2 Vets, 2 RVN’s, 1 SVN’s, 1 VCA, and our reception team.

About You

We seek a professional, enthusiastic, and experienced veterinary surgeon who can mentor junior team members. You should be confident working sole charge and have surgical experience. Experience in dentistry, dermatology, or ultrasonography is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for someone to work part-time (30 hours over 3 days per week), with 1 in 3 Saturdays but no out-of-hours (OOH), allowing for a great work/life balance.
