About the Role

Gang & Associates, P.A., a national niche law firm in the veterans’ benefits field, is seeking a full-time attorney with demonstrated experience representing veterans in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). This ideal candidate has strong legal writing skills, a deep understanding of VA law, regulations and procedures, and a proven track record at the appellate level.

Requirements for CAVC Attorney Hire

  • Licensed attorney in good standing.
  • Admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • 1-3 years of CAVC experience with a minimum of 25-50 CAVC cases litigated.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Track record of strong docket management skills.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with veterans and their survivors.
  • Superior client relation skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills; Microsoft Office/Adobe Pro proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent veterans in appeals before the CAVC.
  • Draft briefs, motions, and other appellate filings.
  • Conduct case evaluations and legal research.
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and support staff.
  • Maintain clear and compassionate client communication.
  • Complete assignments from other attorneys.

Our main office is located in the bucolic suburb of Washington Township, New Jersey with four satellite offices throughout the country. We practice on a national level from the comforts of this beautiful suburb that is within easy access to NYC and some of the most affluent areas of the State. New Jersey has the number 1 public education system in the country (https://www.nj.com/news/2019/09/nj-has-the-best-public-schools-in-the-nation-ranking-says.html), and Washington Township’s schools rank tops in the State. It is truly the crème de le crème of places to raise a family. Remote work is an option for the successful candidate but travel to the main office 1 to 4 times per year for firm functions and meetings may be required.
