Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) at our Enfield 24hr Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary surgeons and nurses with inpatient care, clinical procedures, and the day-to-day wellbeing of our patients. You will help ensure every pet receives exceptional care while providing outstanding support to our clients and colleagues in a busy hospital environment.
Our hospital is well equipped with modern facilities and advanced diagnostic equipment, including an on-site CT scanner, allowing us to deliver a high standard of veterinary care across a wide range of cases. This job role is 40 hours a week including:
- 1 in 3 Saturdays or Sundays (one weekend day only) with TOIL
- An average of 2 bank holidays a year (with TOIL)
- An average of 2 weeks on call a year
- Salary £26,538.48 + 6% premium pay package

What You’ll Be Doing
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting, and feeding
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
