Veterinary Internship – Rotating
We have just opened application for 2 rotating interns to join our team. Pride Veterinary Referrals is a busy, multidisciplinary referral hospital located in Derbyshire, UK committed to providing the highest standards of patient care, with a well established programme of postgraduate training (internships and residencies)
Our 12-month rotating internship offers outstanding training and experience in multiple disciplines, with exposure to out of hours work through weekends and nights, supported by our residents and senior clinicians. We are proud to host discipline specific internships in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Anaesthesia and Diagnostic Imaging, and many of our discipline interns come from our rotating programme.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Intern, you will gain valuable exposure to a referral or advanced clinical environment, working collaboratively with experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support teams to deliver high-quality patient and client care.
This role is designed to support your clinical development, build confidence in managing more complex cases, and deepen your understanding of evidence-based veterinary medicine. You’ll actively participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical governance activities, while being supported by senior clinicians and mentors.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
You are a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon who is keen to develop their clinical skills within a supportive referral or advanced-care setting. You’ll bring:
- A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS with experience working as part of a clinical veterinary team
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Clear and confident communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and a positive and proactive attitude to learning and development
- An interest in evidence-based veterinary medicine and clinical best practice
- Professionalism, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in a busy clinical environment
