We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Downland Vets, Hailsham on a full-time basis.
This vacancy involves working across our 3 East Sussex surgeries (Stone Cross, Hailsham & Eastbourne) however shall be primarily based at our Hailsham branch.
Join our dedicated team of veterinary professionals, comprising of vets, nursing team, student nurses, VCAs and receptionists across East Sussex. We take pride in our commitment to continuous learning and development, including veterinary certificate holders in ECC and geriatric medicine, and a whole effort in ongoing training. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled colleagues and contribute to our culture of excellence and compassion.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern
Full-time, working 5 weekdays of varying shift patterns 8:30am to 4pm/5:30pm/7pm and 1:8 Saturday morning rota of 8:30am to 1:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
This customer-facing role will include reception duties, client care responsibilities, administration tasks, hygiene and infection control, stock control, laboratory tasks and animal care duties.
