Role: Veterinary Receptionist Location: Donnington Grove, Newbury Contract: Part-Time, Permanent At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a thriving Small Animal Veterinary Practice with three branch surgeries and a hospital in Newbury, Berkshire. Our main Hospital has RCVS Tier 3 hospital status and is based in Newbury, which is a thriving town in West Berkshire, with many restaurants and only a 45-minute train journey to London Paddington. Situated on the edge of the North Wessex Downs AONB, it also provides beautiful local countryside for long walks with our canine friends. How You’ll Make a Difference As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey. Your duties will include: *Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care. *Meeting and greeting clients and pets. *Booking appointments and diary management. *Managing telephone and email enquiries. *Taking payment for services and products. *Managing cash and end-of-day banking. *Maintaining a clean and safe space for our clients and their pets. Our receptionist's focus is to provide excellent customer service and make the clients experience the best it can be. Ideally, you will have great organisational skills, good communication skills, be confident using IT systems, able to work different shifts and some weekends on a rota basis and have prior experience working in a customer service role. Working Pattern This is a part-time permanent role working various shift patterns at our branches. these include: *Monday 8:00am-2:00pm (Newbury) *Thursdays 2:30pm-7:00pm (Tadley) *Friday 2:30pm-7:00pm (Tadley) *There will also be 1 in 4 Saturdays at Newbury from 9:00am-5:00pm and 1 in 9 Saturdays at Tadley from 8:30am-10:30am You Might Be a Great Fit If...
