About the Role

Due to expansion of our Internal Medicine team, Swift Referrals and Emergencies are excited to announce we are looking to recruit an additional full-time referral clinician. This role would suit a board-certified or residency-trained candidate ready to progress their team in a welcoming and adaptable team. The successful applicant would be keen to work alongside existing clinicians to drive the business forward, with potential for progression into a more senior position in the future for the right applicant.

About Us

Swift Referrals is a multidisciplinary small animal referral practice offering services in internal medicine, oncology, soft tissue, and orthopaedic surgery. We also run a first opinion out-of-hours service for neighbouring practices. We are in Wetherby, West Yorkshire with easy access to York, Harrogate, and Leeds, as well as the beautiful and uncrowded Northeast coast, the Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors.

We have state-of-the-art technology including a purpose-built intensive care unit, which has all the emergency equipment you should need, including point-of-care ultrasonography, oxygen kennels, ICU bays and cots for critical patients, multiparameter monitoring, and its own radiography suite. Our extensive in-house laboratory facilities include tests such as coagulation profiles, blood gases, cortisol, CSF cytospin, as well as the usual blood and urinalysis equipment you would expect. Our diagnostic equipment includes a 1.5T Siemens MRI scanner, 128 slice GE CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound, and endoscopy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
