Job Details
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week (4 days) including 1 in 4 weekends and no out-of-hours (OOH).
We are based on the busy Gateway Retail Park, with free onsite parking and conveniently located for transport links into central London and close to London City Airport. Thanks to our great location within the community, we have built a loyal client base and we see a wide variety of cases including internal medicine, surgery and some orthopaedic procedures, so this is a great opportunity for any vet looking for exposure to complex procedures. We are seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon who has previous sole charge experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, enthusiastic about collaborating with our team. Success in the role will come from embracing all aspects of the veterinary care, providing exceptional patient and client service, and appreciating the variety the position offers. You will be working alongside an experienced Head Vet and a skilled nursing team, gaining exposure to a diverse caseload.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
