Equine Veterinary Surgeon – South & West Wales

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 based on experience

South Wales Equine Vets | RCVS Accredited Practice

South Wales Equine Vets is a growing, independent-minded equine practice covering South and West Wales. We are now looking for a general equine practitioner to join us as we continue to expand our client base and develop our services.

This role would suit a vet who enjoys true ambulatory practice, values teamwork, and wants the time, support and equipment to do the job properly. There will also be opportunities to work with B&W Hospital.

The Role

As our client base continues to grow, you will play a key part in:

  • Providing high-quality first-opinion equine care across a varied caseload
  • Building long-term relationships with clients, from family pony owners to competition riders
  • Contributing ideas to improve clinical standards, client experience, and service development
  • Supporting and being supported by colleagues in a genuinely collaborative team

We are accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and take pride in delivering consistently high standards of care without losing the personal feel of a local practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
