In the heart of North London next to the River Lea is our incredibly popular first opinion Tottenham practice, and they are looking for a veterinary surgeon to take the helm!
We are looking for a like-minded colleague who will be committed to their team, clients, and their beloved animals, and really make this role their own.
About your new role!
Tottenham is one of our original sites, and although it may need some TLC in some areas, their incredible support team more than makes up for the aesthetic of the building! The support team includes an amazing senior nurse all trained at Tottenham so they know the practice inside out, and you will be joining a truly special team.
This is a sole charge position that has a perfectly manageable caseload for a confident GP first opinion vet to step into. You will be able to comfortably balance your morning consultations, perform routine surgeries during the day, catch up on admin, and then round up with evening consults. You will have one day per week, in which you will crossover with an associate vet.
This role involves a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday (with an early finish on the Thursday) plus a 1:4 branch Saturday morning and 1:8 Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota 'd to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead Hospital and be included in the last resort on-call rotation…which is very rarely used as it is for emergencies only!
As a sole charge branch vet, some of your duties will include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
