Veterinary Surgeon – Vets for Pets Apsley
Up to £75,000 DOE | Flexible Hours | No OOH
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and welcoming team at Apsley Vets for Pets.
Our practice is based inside the Pets at Home store on the busy Daventry Retail Park, offering a convenient location with great facilities, plenty of onsite parking, and easy access to local amenities. Situated just 24 miles north-west of London, Apsley benefits from excellent transport links, making it an ideal base whether you enjoy city life, countryside escapes, or exploring further afield.
About The Practice
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team made up of Practice Manager, 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 Student Nurse, 2 VCAs and 3 Receptionists, all working together to provide excellent care to our patients and clients.
We are a busy first-opinion practice, giving you the opportunity to see a wide variety of interesting cases and work them up to a high standard. We encourage case discussions and shared learning, helping everyone in the team broaden their clinical knowledge and develop their skills.
The practice environment is fast-paced but highly supportive, with experienced colleagues always on hand to help. Whether you’re an experienced vet seeking a great work–life balance, or someone looking to continue developing your clinical knowledge with a supportive team around you, we would love to hear from you.

The Role
We can offer full-time or part-time hours with a flexible working pattern designed to support a healthy work–life balance.
- Full-time hours across 4 days per week
- 1 in 3 weekend rota (Saturdays and Sundays shared fairly)
- No out-of-hours
- No overnight inpatient checks
- No on-call responsibilities
