Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: My Vets Pets – Leigh, Manchester
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week – 4 days (8:30am – 6:30pm) plus 1 in 5 weekends (8:30am – 6:30pm) with TOIL. No sole charge and no out-of-hours responsibilities.

The Role
We recognise the importance of flexibility and are happy to discuss working arrangements that suit your needs.
The role includes rotating through:
- Theatre
- Inpatient care
- Consultations (15-minute appointments as standard)
For experienced candidates with a particular area of interest, there is flexibility to tailor the role towards:
- Medicine-focused practice
- Consulting-only work
- Inpatient care
- Soft tissue or orthopaedic surgery
With our dedicated night team of vets and nurses providing out-of-hours care, you'll have the time and support to thoroughly investigate and manage cases without OOH commitments.
You'll work alongside an experienced, hands-on nursing team, many of whom hold additional qualifications, helping to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
The Team
We're a busy first-opinion small animal hospital located in Leigh, ideally positioned between Manchester and Liverpool.
Our forward-thinking team is passionate about providing outstanding patient and client care while actively supporting career progression. Many of our clinicians are currently undertaking, or have completed, certificates and advanced training.
You'll be joining an enthusiastic team of 15 vets within a well-established and continually growing practice.
