Veterinary Surgeon

Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon – North Devon

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, experienced team in beautiful North Devon.

This is a part-time position of at least 2 days per week, due to a long-term Team member retiring, offering an excellent work-life balance alongside a varied and rewarding caseload. The role includes a shared weekend rota of 1:8 Saturday mornings, 1:8 daytime weekend cover. Importantly, there are no out-of-hours calls after 7pm.

You'll be joining a large, stable and supportive team consisting of 8 FTE Veterinary Surgeons, 7 FTE RVNs, 2 SVNs, 5 FTE Client Care Advisors and 2 Practice Managers. We are proud to have Vet certificate holders in Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology and Surgery, creating an excellent environment for collaboration, learning and case discussion. One of our RVN’s also holds an exotics certificate.

Our well-equipped practices include modern diagnostic and surgical facilities, with equipment such as dental radiography and laparoscopy. We actively support further development and certificates for those wishing to pursue additional qualifications.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
