Veterinary Surgeon – Haverhill
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Swayne & Partners in Haverhill.
For over 50 years, we've built a reputation for clinical excellence and are proud of the experienced team we've developed, the breadth of cases we see and the opportunities we provide for our colleagues to learn and thrive. You'll be joining a practice where teamwork, development and high standards of patient care go hand in hand.
As part of Kin Vet Community, a small collective of like-minded community veterinary practices, we benefit from the support, shared expertise and collaborative approach that comes from working alongside teams who share our commitment to exceptional veterinary care. Whilst every practice retains its own culture, leadership and way of working, being part of Kin Vet creates greater opportunities to learn from one another, invest in our people and facilities, and continue evolving the services we provide to pets and their owners.
Salary
- Up to £65,000 DOE
- Up to £70,000 for Certificate Holders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
