Are you an experienced vet looking for a new opportunity in a forward thinking practice.
This role offers real flexibility, to offering shorter hours to fit around other commitments such as 9am – 3pm 3 days a week we CAN offer this for you.
You will be supported by a fantastic team of 5 vets, 12 RVNs, 4 SVNs and a strong team of receptionists who will ensure you have everything needed to achieve your career goals and the team provide the best care possible to our clients and their pets!
We are looking for a good all-round vet, who is happy with surgery and consults.
If you are looking to develop your skills further CPD and Certificate is encouraged and can be supported.
We care about your wellbeing ensuring a good work life balance and we have mental health first aiders on site.
Only 1:4 Saturdays, which may be sole charge.
No OOH and no Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Paying up to £80,000 DOE, FTE.

We are a progressive, forward thinking general practice and pride ourselves on providing an excellent standard of care to our patients while making sure our colleagues feel equally looked after and valued.
Led by our Practice Owners, Rachel and Claire, our friendly, experienced team is made up of 5 vets, 12 RVNs, 4 SVNs and a strong team of experienced receptionists based across both our practices.
As a practice we have a varied caseload and clinical freedom with gold standard practice actively encouraged. The veterinary team work closely with Certificate holders Surgery, Ultrasonography and Cardiology - however we are keen for this to be something to remain within our team allowing us to expand the services we can offer our clients. We are also proud holders of the ISFM and RAW silver awards, Dog Friendly Practice award. are proud winners of the Vets4Pets graduate practice of the year award and are working towards the Zero Pain Certificate.

We hold fortnightly vet meetings giving colleagues the opportunity to discuss cases, review protocols and look at any new products available. Regular admin time slots are allocated into the diary as well as on the day appointments to help ease the day to day working of the practice.
The nursing team is highly motivated and hold a number of post VN qualifications - Graduate Diploma, Certificates in Emergency & Critical Care, Infection Control, Feline Friendly Nursing and Dermatology.
Our two practices are based across Sunderland, a short distance from the stunning beaches of the North East coastline and our location provides close proximity to transport links including metro stations, A19, A1, the airport and main train stations.
About you:
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is confident with all aspects of a GP role and has experience in supporting a team.
This is ideally a fulltime position but we appreciate this does not suit everyone so please come and talk to us about your ideal working pattern – we offer flexibility both in terms of clinical preference and working hours. Our Saturday rota is 1:4, we are not open Sundays, and you will not be required to cover OOHs or bank holidays.
