I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
We are looking for a vet with a minimum of 2 years’ experience who is comfortable with some sole charge responsibility, supported by a strong clinical team, and confident with routine surgery and medicine. However, we are open to a vet that is looking for a supported role, where they will benefit from the excellent mentoring our welcoming and supportive team can provide.
To be successful in this role you will be a vet who enjoys building strong relationships with your patients, clients and the wider team. An interest in internal medicine, dermatology or exotics would be wonderful but not essential!
There will be no OOH! The role is 35-40 hours a week, including 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 9am – 5pm & Sunday 10:30am – 3:30pm). However, we can consider part time hours for the right candidate. All our colleagues enjoy an excellent work/life balance!
