Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time - Gamston Vets for Pets, Nottinghamshire
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our friendly team at Gamston Vets for Pets.
Our practice owner, Louise Stubbs RVN, who qualified 25 years ago and is in her 28th year of practice, has been partner for 19 years and leads the supportive and close-knit team of 3.5 Vets, 3 Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants and 4 Receptionists. Our bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including Digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental, biochem, microscope and full surgical facilities.
Gamston Vets for Pets is situated in the heart of community next to the canal and local shops, we are conveniently close to the main A roads, just 10 minutes from the M1 and only 5 minutes from Nottingham city centre.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias to join our progressive practice. The successful candidate will be confident in a wide range of surgical procedures, ideally with emergency and critical care experience. You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior vets within the team, helping to build a strong, collaborative clinical team.

The role is full time working 40 hours per week including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9am – 12pm.
We encourage good case development and offer an excellent CPD package and will consider all facets of personal development, and support is available for anyone interested in studying towards a certificate.
As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we offer:
- Attractive remuneration package of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (Dependent on experience / FTE)
