About the Role
We are looking to hire a Veterinary Surgeon and Branch Lead for our Filton and Patchway practices. The role will be predominantly based at our Filton practice with 1-2 days per week at our Patchway Clinic.
As a Branch Lead, you will take responsibility for day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running of both practices. This includes:

Managing day-to-day branch operations

Updating practice protocols

Running branch meetings

Supporting and looking after your local team

Filton is a one-vet practice with a mix of surgery and consulting

Patchway is a one-vet, consulting-only practice
Practice Highlights:
- Supported by a longstanding RVN and reception team
- Great facilities and access to wider Zetland branch/referral support
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll collaborate with the wider practice team to deliver high-standard pet and owner care. You’ll:
- Develop your clinical skills and interests
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day branch operations (ideal for early leadership steps)
- See a varied first-opinion caseload (routine surgery and consults)
- Update practice protocols and implement new service processes
Working Hours
- Per week: 37.9 hours
- Standard shift: 8:30AM–6:30PM (spread over 4 days/week)
- Weekend cover: 3 in every 11 weekends
