Location: Derbyshire Contract: Permanent | Full-time or Part-time Practice Type: First Opinion, Small Animal Salary: Competitive (up to £65,000 depending on experience)

About the Practice

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week, 5 days), with options for flexible or part-time working, including a share in the on-call (1 in 3 weekend mornings).

Ark Veterinary Centre – Long Eaton is a friendly, established practice with sought-after credentials:

Facilities include:

  • Digital and dental X-ray
  • Ultrasound, endoscope

About You

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Long Eaton, responsible for:

  • Providing outstanding patient care with a shared passion for animals
  • Demonstrating clinical autonomy and leading in surgical and medical cases
  • Initiating diagnostic investigations with accuracy
  • Developing in role to manage or lead case types
  • Acting as a mentor and team player, driving colleagues to excellence
  • Exemplifying strong client relationships, creating trust through reassuring communication
  • Offering expert guidance to the team and improving clinical standards

Requirements:

  • Strong clinical qualifications and experience
  • Commitment to best-practice veterinary care
  • Ability to build and sustain team dynamics
