We have an unmissable opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team in Bedford Interchange Vets for Pets.
The practice
We are an RCVS accredited small animal practice and an accredited silver cat friendly and rabbit friendly clinic.
Locally owned by Jo and Kevin Morrall since 2013 and with complete clinical freedom, the team sees a wide variety of cat, dog, rabbit and exotic medical and surgical cases and offer 15-minute consults as standard, whilst also benefiting from the wider network of practice owners and colleagues and support of the Vet for Pets family.
The practice is bright, air-conditioned and is purpose built to leading industry standards with state-of-the-art equipment including endoscopic surgical equipment, digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities and offers benefits from free parking.
Our team
Locally owned by Head Vet Jo and Practice Administrator Kevin, you’ll be joining a close knit, friendly and supportive team made up of 4 veterinary surgeons, 7 experienced nurses with over 100 years’ experience between them, 1 VCA, practice manager and an amazing client care team. The team holds a variety of interests from wellness through to exotics!

We also have a visiting ophthalmologist and peripatetic surgeon for orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries, a visiting ultrasonographer and we have also recently started offering laparoscopic spays as part of our commitment to advanced surgical techniques.
Our culture
We are keen on sustainability and use low flow anaesthesia, segregated recycling, and fur clipping recycling (making mats to soak up oil spills). We have achieved outstanding Customer Service and Sustainability Practice Standard Awards and hold a Bronze accreditation in Sustainability with Investors in the Environment.
The role
We are looking for an experienced vet who feels confident with routine surgical and medical cases and who enjoys building strong relationships with patients, clients and the wider team.
We always encourage CPD and are happy to support study towards a Certificate. A keen interest in surgery or imaging would be welcomed but not essential.
The hours are flexible with both full and part time hours considered ideally, 3 to 4 days a week 9am-7pm and with just 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am-5pm. However, if this isn’t quite what you’re looking for we would still love to hear from you.
