Medivet Mossley Hill and Medivet Garston are a thriving, growing group of practices owned by Branch Partner, Josh, based in the heart of lovely south Liverpool. We are looking for a hard-working, attentive and collaborative vet who enjoys clinics with a good, interesting case-load to be part of our 5 vet team over the 2 clinics. Over the 2 clinics we have a team of 4 RVNs, 2 VCAs and and 2 receptionists, all of which are brilliantly competent and supportive. We are a practice who genuinely care about each other's welfare (making sure lunches are taken, finishing on time etc) and always look out for each other. Work/life balance and colleague wellbeing is high on our priority list and we have regular team events which have included pottery painting, meals out and even a day at an Aqua Park! We are very conscientious about our environmental impact both as a practice and as a company, with Josh sitting on the ESG steering group within Medivet, a group for which Josh played a significant role in influencing the company to set up. We are a modern practice with very high clinical standards. We have the majority of clinical equipment you would need, such as a new Imotek MyLabX5 ultrasound machine, digital x-rays, dental x-rays, bronchoscope and of course a full lab plus a cat ward. We are aiming to work towards ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation. Josh has a particular passion for dental work and so enjoys a large case-load in this area. We are fully air conditioned which means we can assure comfortable temperatures at work! Our team are passionate about providing an amazing and inclusive place to work where we can help you be the best person and vet you can be. Mossley Hill and Garston are 20 mins from the city centre but the local area is also a thriving community with an obvious love of not only animals, but of food and entertainment with excellent eateries and bars a short walk away.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
