Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time (40 hours/4 days)

At Medivet Ashton 24 Hour, we’re offering an opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to thrive in a progressive, well-equipped environment—without the burden of out-of-hours work.
About the Role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours across four days, usually 9am–7pm, ensuring a consistent structure and genuine work-life balance. You’ll participate in 1 in 6 weekends and a fair share of bank holidays, supported by a dedicated night team to ensure seamless patient care outside of your working hours. Part-time applications are also welcome.
You’ll be joining a thriving 5-vet team, including a Partner and a surgical certificate holder. While you’ll benefit from their experience and collaboration, this role offers sole charge opportunities, making it ideal for a confident, experienced all-rounder who enjoys autonomy and ownership of their cases.
Our Ashton 24 Hour practice is designed to maximise your clinical success. Key facilities include:
- Four consult rooms
- Two theatres
- Dedicated dog and cat wards
- Fully equipped in-house lab
- Digital and dental X-ray
- Modern ultrasound
- Laparoscopic equipment

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will typically:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery, adhering to regulatory, practice, and operational standards
- Develop and execute personalised treatment plans in collaboration with clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
- Contribute to the growth and learning of Medivet’s clinical communities by sharing skills
