Our practice and location
Animal Medical Centre is a well-established independent private practice. Our supportive team offer high standards of veterinary services to our loyal and friendly clients.
We are situated between Golders Green and Cricklewood, close to West Hampstead, Hendon and Hampstead.

- To communicate well within the practice team, supporting colleagues and utilising individuals strengths within the clinical and non-clinical teams.

- General Practice Set Up With
- Digital CR dental radiography
- Separate dental suite
- Full in-house lab equipment (IDEXX)
- Ultrasound
- Endoscopy and bronchoscopy
- Multi parameter monitoring
- Tonometry
- Theatre suite
- Four consulting rooms – two for cats/small furries and two for dogs
- Separate cat and dog entrances/receptions/consulting rooms and wards
- RxWorks practice management system
- Separate quiet room for end-of-life discussions and care.
Our clients
- As an independent practice we have the freedom of choice and flexibility to provide an individual and customised approach to each client and pet.
- Longer consulting times and call back times to enable effective client communication and understanding.
- Communicating clinical thoroughness and implementing current, scientific based methods through a holistic approach are essential to our clients
- We have a high proportion of insured clients and we provide direct claims where possible
Our working day
- We are open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays
- We provide 20 and 30 minute consultation times.
- Client communication time slots are provided to ensure client discussion, lab results and ongoing care compliance with owners.
- Scheduled time for surgery and procedures.

Support
- We are supported by visiting specialists in both cardiology and imaging as well as more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Practice Memberships
BVA, ISFM, SPVS, BVRA. We have a very well stocked library of BSAVA and other texts, including journals.
Referrals
We predominantly refer to The Ralph, Davies Veterinary Specialists and the Queen Mother Hospital.
Required Candidate
- Candidates will require at least 3 years of UK small animal practice
- Curiosity and a passion for providing considered, empathetic, truly holistic care
- Confident in routine surgery, medicine, and emergency work
- Confident and able to support colleagues
- 4-5 days per week, 1:3 Saturdays with day off in lieu
- Working shifts of 8am – 6pm or 9am to 7pm on rotation
- No OOH
- Morning and afternoon ward rounds
- 1 hour lunch break
- CPD £1500 per year
- RCVS paid
- VDS paid
- Standard pension
