Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role is ideally suited to someone eager to work across all GP areas and will involve consulting and operating in equal measure as part of the day team. We offer some fantastic referral, OOH, and advanced services, but we equally champion our primary care vets and the fantastic service we offer for routine and first opinion caseloads.

Join us at Park Vet Group, where your career will thrive in a nurturing environment that values your expertise, well-being, and future.

The Team

Park Vet Group was established over 100 years ago and is now a fully RCVS-accredited multi-site, primary care and mid-tier referral practice. We have sites in Whetstone, Glenfield, Saffron Lane & Scraptoft Lane, and all our practices are self-sufficient and are fully equipped to run independently, but we like to share best practices and work as one big team.

The Park Vet Group is based in the wonderful city of Leicester which is the largest city in the East Midlands. We have excellent travel links, access to good schools and beautiful countryside. Leicester is a modern city steeped in years of history and there is lots to do locally whether you enjoy the great outdoors or prefer the hustle and bustle of the city.

We value dedication and loyalty, and we’re committed to helping our employees build long, fulfilling careers with us. Our vets and nurses often highlight the opportunities for professional development and career progression, including continued education: with support for attending conferences, workshops, and pursuing further qualifications. We work closely with Willows, a local referral centre, to run additional in-house CPD events. Career Advancement, clear pathways for progression within the practice, from junior roles to leadership positions and recognition programs where we celebrate long service.
