You will join a well-established practice that opened its doors in 2016 and has since gone from strength to strength. This is an exciting time in practice as it has recently gone through a large refurbishment. You will be supported by a very experienced clinical team with 3 vets in practice having over 10 years’ experience. The RVN support in practice is second to none with an experienced team performing schedule 3 regularly. The daily diary is designed with your best interests as its focus with 3 hours each day assigned for you to have breaks, catch up on calls and admin ensuring you are not overwhelmed and can leave on time!
Andrew and Jennifer, the practice owners, have worked hard to create an inclusive and supportive work environment for all their colleagues. All the colleagues at the practice love to socialise and attend team building events.
Benefits:
- Fantastic pay up to £70,000 (FTE, DOE)
- 1 hour protected paid lunch
- No OOH, Bank Holidays or Sundays with Saturdays being worked on a 1 in 5 basis (9am to 1pm)
- Full and part time can be considered from 20 – 40 hours per week

The practice is made up of 5 experienced Veterinary Surgeons with 3 of these having worked in the industry for over 10 years, to support this they have visiting peripatetic support for cardiology, orthopaedics, advanced soft tissue, and advanced imaging. The practice is also fortunate to have a varied caseload, including exotics. This shows what a fantastic opportunity this is for you to gain wider experience and support to you no matter where you are on your veterinary career journey.
Along with the Veterinary Surgeon team they are supported by a fantastic team of 5 RVNs, 3 of which are involved with doing a variety of schedule 3. The team is passionate about supporting each other and ensuring they work in a “judgement free” environment.
Leyland Vets for Pets is just south of Preston in the North West of England. We have excellent transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster, and the Lakes and Dales. Making this a great commuters role!
About the role:
We're on the lookout for a Veterinary Surgeon at Leyland Vets for Pets with a fresh perspective and a passion for contributing to our growing practice. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team, with plenty of room for personal and professional growth.
This role is a full or part-time role working 20-40 hours per week. The full-time hours (40 hours) is normally worked across 4 days and this will include working 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (9am to 1pm) but there are no OOH, Sundays or bank holidays.
