By joining us at Andover Vets for Pets you will be working with a great team of longstanding colleagues, enjoy real job satisfaction and a superb work environment! You’ll also benefit from our recent renovations that have enhanced our workspace and already spacious facilities.
The team
You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of 4 vets, a highly skilled nursing team, and a dedicated support team. Many of our team members have been with us for years, some from the day the practice opened.
We celebrate wins together, lift each other up through challenges, and make sure each day feels purposeful and positive. Here, you’re encouraged to be yourself, pursue your interests, and advance your career with a team that truly has your back.
Our practice opened in 2013 and has spent over a decade building a loyal client base and an excellent reputation within the local community. Many of our team members have been with us for years — a testament to our supportive, forward-thinking culture.
The Role
As one of our vets is going on maternity leave, we’re now looking for a good-natured, good all-round GP veterinary surgeon to join us in looking after our valued patients and clients.
The role is balanced with surgery and medicine and as a solid GP practice we work at a steady pace, with a well-managed rota and appointments given 15 minutes. However longer can be taken when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
