Veterinary Surgeon

Owner-Led practice, team focus.

Are you a confident vet looking for real job satisfaction working with a compassionate, welcoming team?

“I believe that when a team feels supported and valued, they do their best work—and that’s what our patients deserve.” Andrea Ionescubio, Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

About Us

Pontypridd Vets for Pets is a busy first-opinion small animal practice with a stable and supportive team. We aim to create an environment where vets enjoy their work and have the support needed to provide first-class medicine to the clients and community in our care.

Our practice owner Andreea is a real advocate for her teams’ wellbeing, having opened the practice in 2016 and gone on to completing a Veterinary Leadership and Management Diploma focusing on developing teams and supporting mental health in the workplace, ensuring a culture and environment to be proud of.

Your Working Day

Our days are therefore well structured with an emphasis on your wellbeing and a good practice culture, as well as providing exceptional care to our clients. We do 15-minute consults as standard and you’ll have a friendly, supportive team of 2-3 nurses, VCA and receptionist on with you each day you work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
