Southampton – Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time (Backshifts) Up to £80,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

Working as an emergency Vet Surgeon will expose you to an interesting range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. As a Vet Surgeon at Vets Now Southampton you will benefit from the ongoing mentorship and there is a strong support network.

Working out-of-hours doesn’t mean working all hours

In this part-time role, the shifts available include the below on a 4-week rolling rota, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

Week 1: Tuesday (19.00-23.00), Sunday (18.00-00.00) Week 2: Monday (19.00-23.00), Wednesday (19.00-23.00), Thursday (19.00-23.00), Sunday (18.00-00.00) Week 3: Sunday (18.00-00.00) Week 4: Monday (19.00-23.00), Tuesday (19.00-23.00), Wednesday (19.00-23.00), Thursday (19.00-23.00), Sunday (18.00-00.00

How many of the available shifts to be worked in the rota can be discussed further. We will try to work around your lifestyle and clinic requirements.

As a backshift Vet you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
