Veterinary Surgeon – Miramar Vets
Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE, plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance and £5,000 Welcome Bonus
About Miramar Vets
Miramar Vets, part of the inspiring vet care network, is a modern, welcoming practice designed for comfort and care. With:
- Four consulting rooms (including a dedicated RVN consulting space and rainbow room)
- Species-specific kennels and a fully-equipped in-house lab (supported by IDEXX)
- Clinical facilities: prep room, theatre, dedicated X-ray room, and ultrasound
- Separate cat and dog reception areas, isolation ward, and a shared staff room with tea, coffee, and snacks
We take pride in supporting local charities (Cats Protection, Guide Dogs for the Blind) and community initiatives, including school visits and dog shows.
As one of the UK’s leading first-opinion vet care providers, we’ve cared for over 2 million animals.
Practice Highlights
Miramar Vets offers:
- Full IDEXX suite (including upcoming dental X-ray)
- Equipment like ultrasound, endoscope, bronchoscope, and supporting technologies
- ISFM Silver Practice and Dog Friendly accreditation
- A happy team of 4 vets (with a dental-certified colleague), 5 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, and a Practice Manager
- Study support for certificate programs and mental health initiatives (e.g., private medical and wellbeing programs)

We are seeking a patient, confident veterinary surgeon passionate about high-quality patient and client care in a team-oriented environment.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll:
- Deliver compassionate consultations with clear communication
- Perform routine and emergency surgical procedures
- Work on medical complex cases, including diagnostics and long-term treatment planning
- Provide continuity of care for ongoing cases
- Collaborate with the nursing team for seamless patient management
- Maintain thorough clinical records
- Contribute to a positive team culture
Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week, structured over 4–5 days
- 1-in-3 Saturday mornings (8:15–12:30)
- No on-call responsibilities

Ideal candidates are confident, motivated, and clients- and patient-focused, with: ✔ Veterinary degree + RCVS registration (or eligibility) ✔ Experience in routine medical and surgical cases ✔ Strong communication skills (clients + colleagues) ✔ Professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork ✔ Continuous learning mindset
