East Grinstead Vets are looking for a dynamic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team. Day to day duties include a mix of consultations, working up medical cases and some routine surgery. You will be responsible for a wide range of cases with support from experienced colleagues. Joining a team of 6 vets, 6 nurses and the support of 2 practice managers. We are a well-equipped practice with spacious consulting rooms and plenty of kennel space. We have ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopes, and a K-laser. Full in-house laboratory and a dedicated dental room with dental x-ray. The town of East Grinstead has a many sport and leisure facilities, a cinema and easy train links to London. Beautiful Ashdown Forest is on our doorstep and Brighton and the South Downs National Park are within easy reach. Gatwick airport is only 20 minutes away for getting away on those well-earned breaks! How You’ll Make a Difference As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you. The shift pattern is flexible, full-time shifts cover 40 hours per week over 4 days and one in 3 Saturday mornings. You Might Be a Great Fit If... You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
