Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Richmond House Vets | Part of Gatehouse Veterinary Group | Near Mirfield
Richmond House Vets, part of the supportive Gatehouse Veterinary Group, are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a sole-charge role, working alongside and mentoring a new graduate vet as we move into an exciting new chapter. We’re relocating to a brand-new, purpose-built site near Mirfield, with modern theatres, dental suite, digital x-ray, and separate species wards, giving you the facilities to practise high-quality, enjoyable medicine.
The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet who enjoys autonomy but values support. You’ll:
•Work in sole charge, with the support of an RVN-led team •Mentor and support a new graduate vet, helping them grow in confidence •Help shape clinical standards and protocols within the practice •Be involved in working towards PSS General Practice compliance
You’ll never feel isolated — you’ll have clinical support, training, and guidance from the wider Gatehouse Veterinary Group, including experienced vets and an award-winning leadership team recognised for outstanding PSS performance.
The Ideal Person •An experienced small animal vet, comfortable in sole charge •Supportive, approachable, and happy to mentor a new graduate •Passionate about good medicine, teamwork, and client care

Hours •40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days •1 in 4 Saturdays, 8am–1pm •No out-of-hours
