Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Salary of up to £70,000 DOE

Relocation allowance of up to £5,000

Welcome bonus of up to £3,000

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team on a full-time basis at our Chalfont St Giles and Beaconsfield surgeries.

The Wheelhouse has been established for over 50 years and puts a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and team engagement. With 4 branches and a total of 42 clinical team members (14 Vets and 20 Nurses) we are a team who support each other and can deal with most of the clinical work that walks (or is carried) through the door.

This position would look to pay up to £70000 DOE and it would be working a four-day week with a weekend rota included (Saturdays only). An additional qualification, or interest in Endoscopy and Endosurgery or Oncology is preferred but not essential for this role. We would also offer a generous relocation allowance if you were looking to move to the local area.

Inspire vet care is the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group, made up of over 900 practices and referral hospitals, united by a shared purpose of happier animals, happier owners.

At inspire vet care, we believe careers should be built without limits. Our people are supported to make more clinical impact, access more career opportunities, and play an active role in their local and professional communities. Through investment in learning, innovation, and wellbeing, we create environments where our teams can grow in confidence, capability, and fulfilment—at every stage of their career.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
