Crown House Vets is a well-established small animal practice with two branches located in Rochdale and Shaw, Oldham. Our main branch is based in Rochdale with excellent public transport links to Manchester city centre, providing easy access to everything the region has to offer.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys a varied first opinion caseload and values working within a collaborative team environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
The role is ideally suited to a clinician who is confident with routine surgeries, medical cases and occasional sole charge responsibilities.

Working Pattern
34 hours per week Fixed working days and shifts 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8:30am–12:00pm Saturday clinics are consultations only No out-of-hours or bank holiday commitments
General Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care to first opinion patients Manage routine consultations and surgical procedures Provide excellent client communication and continuity of care Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses and support colleagues Support clinical standards and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute positively to the learning and development of the wider team
The Team
Our team currently consists of 2 experienced Veterinary Surgeons and 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses who play an active role in patient care through nurse-led clinics and clinical initiatives.
You will also be supported by our Practice Director and experienced reception team, creating a collaborative environment where everyone contributes to delivering outstanding care.

A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS Experience working in clinical practice with confidence in routine medical and surgical cases Confidence working occasional sole charge shifts Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues A proactive approach to learning, feedback and professional development Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
