Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity at New Malden

Here at New Malden, we have a lovely purpose-built clinic which was refurbished in December 2024 and have an exciting new opportunity for a full or part time Veterinary Surgeon in our lovely practice.

About the Role

Partner Michelle Akande, qualified in 1999 from Bristol, she is an experienced general practitioner with no specialties/specific areas of interest although client care is particularly important to her. She is happy to support and encourage additional certificates within her team.

You will also be joining a friendly, supportive and well-established team of 5 other vets including Practice Owner, one vet has a certificate in exotic animal medicine. 3 RVNs – one has an exotic animal certificate, and one has a feline medicine certificate, 2 SVNs, 1 Practice Manager (who is also an additional RVN), 4 Veterinary Care Assistants and dedicated Reception team. We offer a generous CPD budget and are happy to support individual interests!

We are looking for an energetic, friendly vet who enjoys working in a team. You must be confident with all routine consults and surgeries, also needs to be comfortable with sole charge.

Location

Based in Southwest London, close to the A3, we are situated inside a busy Pets at Home store with free onsite parking. We are near to Wimbledon tennis and just a 10-minute walk from Raynes Park train station with direct trains into central London in under half an hour.

Our Facilities

We have great equipment including a dedicated dental suite with dental xray, a separate diagnostic suite with xray and ultrasound, a rigid endoscope, two operating theatres. We have dedicated feline, canine, exotic and isolation wards. We are ISFM cat friendly silver tier and working towards dog friendly and PSS certification.
