Salary ranging from £45,000 to £65,000 dependant on experience.
We are a first opinion small animal practice based in the leafy suburb of Wimbledon and are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Veterinary Surgeon to join our team!
You will be joining our Joint Venture Partner Syd Azimi, as he grows and develops his team for the next stage in Wimbledon's journey. We have an animal behavioural specialist attend on a frequent basis and we see a wide variety of cases, including a higher-than-average number of rabbits and exotics. We take pride in working up cases to an extremely high standard. We have a bright, air-conditioned surgery which is purpose built to industry leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. We are supportive of individual interests so if you have a particular area of interest, this could be the practice for you!
Applicants will be experienced, confident with all routine surgical and medical cases and special interests will be welcomed and supported, with a generous CPD allowance of a minimum of £3k and certificates encouraged. Experience in emergency surgery as well as working with rabbits would be an advantage, but not essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
