About the Role

At Vets Now Southampton, you’ll gain exposure to a varied caseload that suits both veterinary professionals wanting to diversify their experience and those looking to build expertise in emergency and critical care (ECC).
As a weekend Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll join a supportive team with a focus on mentorship while contributing to elevated standards of ECC practice.

Choose from two flexible rota options, both offering paid days off for bank holidays:

Option 1: Twilight Shifts
- Saturday: 18:00–00:00
- Sunday: 18:00–00:00
- Positioning: Often second-in-charge on shift, sharing responsibilities and learning from senior colleagues on complex cases.

Option 2: Day Shifts (Flexible Coverage)
- Saturday: 12:00–18:00
- Sunday: 08:00–18:00
- Frequency: ability to discuss shifts (e.g. every/every other weekend)
- Customisation: Tailored to fit your lifestyle while meeting clinic demand – we’ll accommodate your needs.
