Position: Vetting Officer
Department: Campaigns and Training Reports to: Director of Campaigns and Training Location: Westminster (Full-Time Contract)
Role Overview
Reform UK is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Vetting Officer to join our growing Campaigns and Training team. In this vital role, you will carry out background checks, social media audits, and reputational risk assessments on prospective candidates standing for election under the Reform UK banner.
You’ll play a key role in safeguarding the Party’s reputation and ensuring we uphold the highest standards across our candidate pool, directly supporting the delivery of successful election campaigns across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background checks, social media reviews, and due diligence on prospective candidates.
- Identify and assess reputational risks, escalating serious concerns to senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of all vetting activity.
- Liaise with Candidate Administrators to monitor and update candidate status.
- Work to clear KPIs to ensure timely and consistent vetting processes across the UK.

What We're Looking For
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Sound judgment and confidence in handling reputational or sensitive information.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in vetting, compliance, safeguarding, HR, or political administration (desirable but not essential).
